About Lydia Schulz
I'm Lydia, your go-to travel advisor and the founder of Viva Travel and Voyage. Driven by my passion for travel, culture, and connecting with people, I launched my own travel agency to use my skills and expertise to enhance your travel planning experience. It was the best decision I ever made! There's nothing more rewarding than hearing how my clients feel when they return from a trip. So, how did I get here?

My own journey of discovery is truly what brought me to where I am today. Much of my travel has been deeply immersive, focusing on living and socializing with locals. It all began at the age of five when my family traveled to Cuernavaca, Mexico, for language immersion school, a trip we repeated every other summer. In my teens, I spent a summer in the mountainous region of Panama and attended high school in Salta, Argentina, for a year through the American Field Service (AFS). My college year abroad led me to Madrid through St. Lawrence University’s international program, giving me the opportunity to master my Spanish and explore all over Spain and Portugal.

Using these formative years and my college degree to build a strong foundation of knowledge and experience in culture, language, and travel, I then moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to work for the Episcopal Diocese. My short-term travels have taken me across Europe, Mexico, and the Caribbean, including leading mission groups to Cuba and attending peace conferences in Germany and England. I've also had the pleasure of exploring more than half of our country's beautiful states and National Parks. At this point, I've visited 32 States and 21 Countries, and counting! As you can see, I’ve been hooked on travel for as long as I can remember. Travel and the incredible people I've met along the way have changed my life in so many profound ways, and I hope it does the same for you too!

Disney has been a special part of my life since my very first trip at 8 years old. That spark grew over the years—from spring breaks with friends in college to completing the Disney College Program Internship after graduation, where I gained invaluable insider knowledge. My husband even proposed in front of Cinderella’s Castle! Now, as a mom of three (two princes and one little princess), I love creating new Disney memories with my family year after year.

I’ve also come to truly appreciate the magic of cruising—both the relaxation and the adventure. I’ve had the opportunity to sail the Caribbean and explore Europe on Mediterranean cruises, and I love helping couples and families find the perfect ship, itinerary, and onboard experience. From relaxing ocean views to action-packed days at sea, I’ll help you plan every detail to meet your needs so you can just enjoy the journey.
